League of Women Voters hosts “Migrants in Leelanau County” forum

The League of Women Voters Leelanau County invites the public to participate in a virtual educational forum “Migrants in Leelanau County” on November 3 at noon.

The League’s Farm Labor and Immigration Task Force and Equal Rights Advocacy Committee will examine the questions: What is the difference between a migrant and an immigrant? What do you think of when you hear the words migrant worker? This educational forum will include some history tidbits and two speakers, Roy Ramirez and Nancy Ramos who will share their stories.
