On Saturday, during the much hyped Michigan vs. Michigan State football game at noon, Art’s Tavern will offer bargain deals.
“We’re going to double the price of everything on the menu and then take 50 percent off,” boasted Art’s jovial co-owner Tim Barr. “For both Wolverine and Spartan fans!”
Art’s will hand out candy to trick-or-treating kids on Halloween Sunday, from noon until 3 p.m. Trick-or-treating throughout Glen Arbor’s business district will begin at noon on Sunday. Empire will offer trunk-or-treating at 5 p.m.

Art’s will host its annual pig roast to benefit food pantries on Saturday, Nov. 6, from noon until 7 p.m. Pay $16 for an all-you-can-eat serving. 100 percent of proceeds will benefit area food pantries.
In addition, Art’s will host the next Empire Area Emergency Fund concert on the Thursday after Thanksgiving.
And in lieu of a party to celebrate retiring server Pam Warnes, friend will compile and produce a video tribute to her.
