Glen Arbor Art Association offers discount on summer art classes
From staff reports
The Glen Arbor Art Association (GAAA) has a full lineup of fresh youth classes (ages 6-15) for 2015 and inspiring teachers to stimulate creative development. In addition to drawing, painting, pottery, and many others, there are new learning opportunities this year such as drama classes and metalsmithing.
For those who enjoy sharing experiences with a group of family and friends, the GAAA’s new customized classes might be just the thing to create a summertime memory. The group may choose from six different learning options. These classes are designed for any experience level and skilled teachers make everyone in the group feel comfortable. Other family friendly classes are Family Clay, Mother & Child Painting in the Garden, and Family Painting at Thoreson Farm.
Making art is definitely fun, but there’s so much more to it. When young people are encouraged to express themselves through open ended experiences provided by drama, pottery, painting, etc., they develop confidence, open mindedness, creativity, and flexibility.
Early bird discounts on selected youth classes are being offered until May 15. The GAAA has a generous tuition assistance program, as well as volume discounts. All the details can be found at glenarborart.org.
