Sharing Anishinaabe History and Culture

The League of Women Voters Leelanau County hosts a discussion on sharing Anishinaabe history and culture and putting indigenous values into practice on Wednesday, June 7, at noon at the Eyaawing Museum and Cultural Center (304 N. West Bay Shore Drive, M-22) north of Suttons Bay.

Guest speakers are: Hank Bailey, Grand Traverse Band Natural Resources retiree and keeper of stories; Joanne Cook, Grand Traverse Band member and educator at Northwestern Michigan College, and Jonathan Aylward, Grand Traverse Band natural resources biologist and water quality specialist.

The public is invited to attend and are encouraged to bring a sack lunch.
