Great Lakes Water Levels: A Wild Ride in 2020?

News

From staff reports

On Friday, Jan. 17, at 1:30 pm, Mark Breederland, Extension Educator for Michigan Sea Grant’s Northwest District, will give a talk about current and projected water levels in the Great Lakes at Leland Township Library. Breederland gave a similar talk in Peninsula Township in November of 2019, which drew an audience of over 100 people.

Breederland has worked as an Extension Educator for Michigan Sea Grant for 25 years. Through his work, he seeks to help coastal communities and businesses in northwest Michigan to apply science-based knowledge to address Great Lakes issues including include sustainable coastal development, brownfield and coastal land redevelopment, the Michigan Clean Marina Program, Great Lakes observing systems, and coastal wetlands.

For more information, please contact the Library at 231-256-9152.
