The Glen Lake Woman’s Club holds their 52nd annual Art Fair on Wednesday, July 17, from 10 am-4 pm. The Art Fair features artists carefully selected to represent a wide variety of one-of-a-kind art pieces for sale at the Glen Arbor Township Hall. The Art Fair highlights artists in many mediums including pottery, painting, textiles, woodworking, and jewelry. Each year, thousands of people shop for that unique piece of art, either for themselves or for a special gift.
This year marks the 51st annual Glen Lake Woman’s Club Art Fair, a juried Art Fair with artists carefully selected to represent a wide variety of one-of-a-kind art pieces for sale at the Glen Arbor Township Hall. The Art Fair—to be held at the Glen Arbor Township Hall on Wednesday, July 19, from 10 am to 4 pm—features artisans in many mediums including pottery, painting, textiles, woodworking, and jewelry. They don’t wear their sparkly Wonder Woman suits out in public, or leap tall buildings in a single bound, but the members of southern Leelanau County’s two well-known service clubs are definitely community superheroes. Both the Glen Lake Woman’s Club (GLWC) and the Glen Arbor Women’s Club offer a warm welcome to new members who are seasonal or year-round residents, provide community fellowship and enjoyable social and civic activities that greatly enhance the quality of life for the people of the Glen Lake area as a whole.
