Glen Lake Woman’s Club holds 48th annual Art Fair
From staff reports
The 48th annual Glen Lake Woman’s Club Art Fair will take place on July 18 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Glen Arbor Township Hall. There is no admission charge. The event hosts 100 artists to represent most areas of the art world. Lunch is available including “walking tacos”.
All profits from the event fund scholarships for area students. More than $15,000 was given last year. Scholarship recipients help by carrying supplies, giving breaks to the exhibitors and helping with the concessions. There is almost 100 percent participation by members from heading committees to help out on fair day.
It is estimated over 2,000 guests will attend, making it one of the busiest days of the year in Glen Arbor. Some visitors plan their vacation around the fair.
