Sleeping Bear Gallery hosts molten glass event

Come to the Sleeping Bear Gallery in Empire, Sept. 12-13, to watch Albert Young (Michigan Hot Glass), who will be joined by David Helm, Stephen Szymanski, Tim Southward, and Heather Caverly work with Hot Molten Glass to create delicate wine glasses and fun colorful vessels. You can enjoy the magic of this fascinating craft while pondering a piece of Art within our Gallery & Extra Special Silent Auction.

More than 30 artists (Sleeping Bear Gallery artists, as well as many local area artists) have made wonderful contributions to the auction. Every participating artist’s name is listed on the promotional flyer and the list is growing. Bidding will commence Friday, Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. and will run through 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13 when the lucky winners will be announced.

100 percent of the proceeds from this auction go to Empire Area Community Center’s Emergency Fund.
