Jack Lessenberry to Speak at LWVLC Annual Dinner May 26

The League of Women Voters Leelanau County announces its Annual Dinner and Meeting to be held on Thursday, May 26, at Timberlee Hills at 10484 S Timberlee Dr., Traverse City.
The guest speaker will be syndicated columnist and Michigan Radio essayist Jack Lessenberry. His topic is “Michigan in Crisis: How Did We Get Here and How Do We Fix It?”
The event starts at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6 and Mr. Lessenbery’s presentation at 7. Cost is $30 per person for dinner and speaker or $15 per person for speaker only. RSVPs are required by May 20. Payment for the event should be made out to LWVLC and sent to Nancy Duck at P.O. Box 992 Leland, MI 49654. Please indicate if you wish the chicken/beef buffet or a vegetarian entrée in your RSVP. Public is invited.
The LWVLC Annual Member Meeting will follow at 8:15 with approval of the 2016-17 budget, election of officer and directors and review of local program studies.
