Gothard Sisters bring Celtic to Manitou Music Festival
From staff reports
Pacific Northwest meets Northwest Michigan when The Gothard Sisters bring their Celtic sound to the Manitou Music Festival on Wednesday, August 9, 8 p.m. at the Leelanau School lawn, 1 Old Homestead Road, Glen Arbor.
Residents of Edmonds, Washington, The Gothard Sisters are internationally recognized instrumentalists, folk musicians and performers. They have crafted an original sound that pays homage to the traditions of folk and classical music. The sisters’ unpredictable and theatrical flair brings a youthful splash to the time-honored tradition of Celtic folk music, bridging the gap between modern pop and folk-rock with a sunny, optimistic style.
A project of the Glen Arbor Art Association (GAAA), tickets for the concert are $15. Children 18 and younger are free. Tickets may be purchased in advance through the GAAA website: glenarborart.org; at Lake Street Studios, 6023 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor; or at the door.
