French art and cuisine in Glen Arbor

Upcoming Event

From staff reports

Join popular art lecturer Linda Young and favorite Chef Randy Chamberlain for a special event exploring the joie de vivre of French Impressionism on Wednesday, May 18th. A three-course par excellence luncheon at Blu, designed by Chef Randy and inspired by Monet’s recipes at Giverny, will be complimented by a talk at the Glen Arbor Art Association.

Linda’s talk will highlight the works of key French Impressionist artists and explore how their paintings reflected the social life of the times on light-filled canvasses that pulsed with the rich enjoyment of life, and radiated beauty.

The schedule for choice of lecture time and the luncheon is as follows:

10:30 – 11:45 am – Morning lecture at GAAA
12:00 noon – Luncheon at Blu, 5705 South Lake St., Glen Arbor
1:45 – 3:00 pm – Afternoon lecture at GAAA.

The fee for the lecture and lunch per person: $35 (Wine may be purchased separately.).

When registering, please indicate your preferred time to attend the lecture at the GAAA by selecting either the morning or afternoon lecture time. Please register early at glenarborart.org. Combined class size for both options is limited to 50.
