E.J. Fitzpatrick concludes Glen Arbor Art Association’s “Talk About Art”

From staff reports

Contemporary artist E.J. Fitzpatrick talks about her icon- and media-rich painting in the final 2015 “Talk About Art” interview April 30, 7:30 p.m. at the Glen Arbor Art Association, 6031 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor.

Fitzpatrick marries the intuitive and the planned into a working model for her abstract work. The Leelanau County artist has developed a vocabulary of abstract imagery with which she talks about a range of intellectual and emotional matters in her paintings. She has exhibited widely around the Midwest, and as an experienced teacher is able to decipher abstraction for a wide range of listeners.

Talk About Art is a series of conversational interviews with regional artmakers. It is a winter project of the GAAA and focuses on creative practice, process and making as experienced by a range of visual and performing artists and craftspeople.
