Duneswood Resort becomes Dune Climb Inn

Business Feature, News

From staff reports

The Dune Climb Inn is proud to announce the renovation and rebrand of a classic motel, formerly Duneswood Resort, on M-109 in the heart of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Inspired by the nature surrounding it, the rooms are dressed in blues and greens and feature local art and photography, retaining that intimate motel feeling with a colorful refresh. It is the perfect home base for an outdoor adventures and escape.

Rooms house between two and six guests and have a large mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, air conditioning and 43-inch TVs. Two center units and the Community Room have larger living spaces, each with their own fireplace and kitchen. In addition to all new furnishings and bedding, returning guests will notice new exterior paint, new outdoor furniture, and an additional fire pit.

Open all year, the Dune Climb Inn sits on the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail (think biking, running, skiing) and backs up to the dunes. The unique location allows guest to walk right into the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Lakeshore and ride or stroll the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail. It’s just a short walk to the entrance to the famed Sleeping Bear Dune Climb and the Little Glen Public Access. Lake Michigan, Glen Haven, Glen Arbor and Empire are a bike ride away.

Reservations for summer 2024 are being taken at DuneClimbInn.com. Explore the beauty of Leelanau County and become one of the first guests to stay in our newly renovated hotel rooms. Contact Kevin Aucello at 808-561-5601 or kevin@duneclimbinn.com for more information.
