The Leelanau Community Cultural Center (The Old Art Building) is pleased to announce a very special evening of music, featuring three gifted singer/songwriters Jim Crockett, Fred Ball and Mark Brown. These “Old Friends” are coming together to perform Thursday evening, August 8, at 7:30 p.m.

The 22nd annual Artists’ Market will be held at the Old Art Building in Leland on Saturday, July 13, from 10 am to 5 pm.

On June 22 the Leelanau Community Cultural Center (LCCC) at the Old Art Building will host a Solstice Celebration to honor the summer sun. The event will also celebrate the installation of the 20-kilowatt rooftop solar system made possible by a $60,000 grant received from All Points North Foundation.

The Leelanau Community Cultural Center will host the performance of the Mark Lavengood Band at the Old Art Building in Leland on May 31 at 8 pm. Lavengood will be joined by Justin Wierenga on Guitars, Justin Avdek on bass, and Dutcher Snedeker on Keys.

The Leelanau Community Cultural Center will host Holly POP! Come to the Old Art Building in Leland, on Nov. 23-24 from 10 a.m.–4 p.m., and step into a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, featuring distinctive artisanal products and celebrate the beauty of the holiday season.

The Old Art Building, located at 111 S. Main St. in Leland, will host a cooperative arts event and invitational show on Friday, Oct. 19, from 1-7 p.m. (with an opening reception at 4) and Saturday, Oct. 20 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The event features selected area artists offering a variety of original art, including acrylics, bead jewelry, digital paintings, illustrations, nature art, oil paintings, pastels, photography, pottery, sterling silver jewelry, textiles and wildlife paintings. The show promises something for everyone.

The M22 Art2Art Tour, Oct. 5-7, will feature award-winning work from nearly 40 Michigan artists. The tour will take place at four venues along M-22, each stop centered around a specific medium.
