The Townships of Glen Arbor and Empire are currently accepting applications and resumes for the position of fire chief. The Glen Lake Fire Department is a full-time, unionized, ALS transport agency which provides fire, rescue and EMS services to approximately 2,000 year-round residents.

Adirondack chairs painted by local artists and sponsored by local businesses have been on display around Glen Arbor this summer. This “ARTirondack Chair Event” is a new fundraiser for the Glen Lake Chamber of Commerce, a 501c organization, to help continue to represent and promote the region.

The Glen Arbor community, family and friends, and the braintrust of the Glen Arbor Sun newspaper are devastated by the sudden passing, Aug. 16, of H. Michael Buhler, who died of a heart attack. He was 57 years young.
