Glen Arbor Arts Center hosts kid creativity
From staff reports
Make 2019 the year of kid creativity. The Glen Arbor Arts Center (GAAC) offers two programs for kids in pre-school up to eighth grade at the GAAC, which is located at 6031 S. Lake St., in Glen Arbor.
After School Art takes kids in grades K-8 on a journey of discovery, exploration and fun. These four-week sessions immerse students in the creative process—all while making new friends, igniting imagination and developing an appreciation for the arts. Grades K-4 meet Tuesdays from 4-5:30 p.m. Grades 5-8 meet Wednesdays from 4-5:30 p.m. Registration is open for sessions until April. Glen Lake students may ride the bus to the GAAC. A snack and all art supplies are included in the $50 tuition fee.
The GAAC’s “Little Artists” is a parent/child preschool art program. Each session offers opportunities for adults and pre-schoolers to spend quality time together as they engage in sensory-based projects. “Little Artist” is by drop-in on select Fridays from 9:30 -11 a.m. The cost is $15. Sessions are scheduled for March 1 and 15 and April 12 and 26.
