Shop the “PJ Party” in Glen Arbor for a “Better than Black Friday” experience. Participating retailers offer specials during the event hours on Friday, Nov. 23, from 6:30-9 am. Come out to shop dressed comfy and festive in your PJ’s! Following the event, plan to grab a warm drink and a bite to eat too!

In the spirit of sleeping in, local business owners and residents, Becky Thatcher and Cookie Thatcher started a new “Bed Parade” to commence at 9 am. Beds are festively decorated by businesses or residents and “wheeled through town.” Stick around to shop retailers afterwards during normal business hours. Anyone can join.

Friday evening, gather at the Glen Arbor Township Hall for Tree Lighting & Caroling at 6:15 pm with donuts and cider provided by Art’s Tavern. Be the first to shop the Holiday Marketplace inside to follow, from 6:30-8 pm during the “Preview Party.”

Saturday, Nov. 24 is the annual Glen Arbor Holiday Marketplace from 10 am to 3:30 pm. The event includes an amazing breadth of handcrafted, locally made goods from more than 30 artisans. Each year it seems to get better than the last! Homemade luncheon provided by Riverfront Pizza & Specialties for purchase. Bring your camera and the kids to Meet Santa & Mrs. Claus from 11 am-1:30 pm.

New this year, during the Holiday Marketplace, additional artists will be featured at nearby locations in town including: M22 Glen Arbor, Art’s Tavern Annex, and Northwoods Home & Gift.

Don’t forget, it’s Small Business Saturday, where participating retailers via American Express, offer a discount for shoppers.
