Arbor Gallery, located on M-109 in Glen Arbor, is thrilled to announce its grand re-opening celebration on Thursday, July 10, from 5-7 pm to honor its newest owner, Stephanie Schlatter. Following a period of transformation and growth, Arbor Gallery is excited to welcome community members to join in the festivities.

This summer Czamanske, Uhlmann, David Westerfield and Angela Schuler all exhibit their work at, and take turns manning, the Arbor Gallery. The space is located between Ruth Conklin Gallery and the Sylvan Inn, in the building on M-109 formerly occupied by Ashmun Portrait Art. They’ve taken to calling this the “west end art district.”

The Glen Arbor Art Association will host an exhibition of work by Jim Jacoby and David Westerfield, Aug. 30-Sept. 1 at the Art Association, 6031 S. Lake Street in Glen Arbor. Photographer Jacoby and oil painter Westerfield have teamed up for this show.

Chicago-based graphic artist David Westerfield says he “paints what I like.” And what he likes is Leelanau County’s stunning landscapes, rustic buildings and historic places. An exhibition of Westerfield’s many likes opens June 28 at Center Gallery, 6023 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor.

Manitou Music Festival poster design winner, David Westerfield, will be Artist-in-Residence at the Glen Arbor Art Association for two weeks. His presentation to the public will be on Thursday, June 28 at 7:30 p.m. Westerfield lives in Glenview, Ill., where he has a graphic art business. He is a frequent visitor to Leelanau where he is captivated by the “visual beauty of the shore, dunes, and the many historic locations.”
