Jim Jacoby, David Westerfield exhibit at Glen Arbor Art Association

The Glen Arbor Art Association will host an exhibition of work by Jim Jacoby and David Westerfield, Aug. 30-Sept. 1 at the Art Association, 6031 S. Lake Street in Glen Arbor.

Photographer Jacoby and oil painter Westerfield have teamed up for this show.

Jacoby from Livonia, studied art at Wayne State University and later received his BFA in graphic design with focus on photography from Chicago’s North Park University. He has an impressive list of advertising clients such as Ford, American Motors, Jeep, Renault, Sara Lee, Detroit Lions, Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings. He co-founded DeiLight, Inc. a website that provides fine art images of landscape and nature for use in publication, conservation and healthcare. Westerfield, a Glenview, Ill., resident, attended Wayne State University in Detroit majoring in art, then transferred to North Park College in Chicago where he earned a BA in Art with concentration in drawing and painting. After graduating David began a 30-year career in graphic design and illustration with credits that include the Saturday Evening Post, the Covenent Companion, and many other publications. In recent years he has taken time away from commercial art and renewed his interest in fine arts. His painting of the Glen Haven Cannery won him the distinction of winning the 2012 Manitou Music Festival poster award. Visit his work at www.westerfieldstudio.com.
