Let the bidding begin: ARTirondack Chairs in Glen Arbor

Adirondack chairs painted by local artists and sponsored by local businesses have been on display around Glen Arbor this summer. This “ARTirondack Chair Event” is a new fundraiser for the Glen Lake Chamber of Commerce, a 501c organization, to help continue to represent and promote the region.

Let the bidding begin! An online auction of the chairs is scheduled to begin Friday, Aug. 24 at 9 a.m. and go until 4 p.m. on Aug. 31. The auction is open to the public. You may bid on any chairs you like by visiting this website.

Chair locations and sponsors include: Art’s Tavern, Century 21/Northland Vacation Rentals, Cherry Republic, Cottage Books, Crystal River Outfitters, Devette & Ford, Funistrata, Glen Arbor Bed & Breakfast, Glen Arbor Wines, Glen Lake Salon, Rosebud, Sportsman Shop, Good Harbor Grill, Indigo Bluffs RV Resort, La Becasse, LVR, Quick Storage, Riverfront Deli & Pizza, Serbin Real Estate, Synchronicity Gallery, Wildflowers, Martin Company and On the Narrows Marina.

Winners must pick up their chairs in Glen Arbor on Labor Day weekend. More information and instructions for the auction can be found on the Glen Lake Chamber’s website.
