Leelanau County Transit Alliance holds public transit community forum

The Leelanau County Transit Alliance (LCTA) is a new community-based initiative to engage Leelanau County residents, businesses and organizations to identify unmet public transportation needs and to reimagine transit services to meet those needs.
The public is invited to a community forum on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 9-11 a.m. at the Leelanau County Government Center located on M-204 between Lake Leelanau and Suttons Bay. Refreshments will be served; an RSVP email is appreciated. During this forum and throughout the alliance’s efforts during the next few months, the constituents’ voice that will guide this inclusive planning process.
The LCTA community forum will be facilitated by Woody Smith of Avenue ISR. The alliance will provide a brief overview of transportation options available through the Bay Area Transportation Authority, Leelanau County Senior Services and Sharecare of Leelanau. The planned discussions will encompass a wide range of transit issues to uncover some unexpected and salient points.
