Cherry Republic kicks off fall with Harvest Stompede

Michigan’s leading cherry retailer is changing gears, driving from a hectic summer season right into a busy fall with customer-friendly events scheduled throughout September and October.
Cherry Republic’s Glen Arbor store kicks off the season with participation in the Leelanau Peninsula Vintner’s Association’s Harvest Stompede on Sept. 8-9. The winery at Cherry Republic’s Lake Street campus will be pairing wines and cider with Cherry Red and Tomato Bisque with cheddar bacon basil scones.
Other fall events at the Glen Arbor Cherry Republic store include:
• Sept. 22- 23: Farewell to Summer and Hello Harvest. Sample cherry harvest products all weekend.
• Sept. 28 through Oct. 26, Friday cake sampling; get a $10 coupon to use online.
• Oct. 7, 1-4 p.m.: ‘Lord of the Gourd’ Patrick Harrison will be on the campus carving his famous pumpkins and gourds.
• Oct. 20: UM vs. MSU Tailgate Samples Spectacular featuring generous samples and Leelanau Lambic beer tasting.
• Oct 28, noon: Trick or Treat Glen Arbor featuring Sour Cherry Patches.
