Leelanau Clean Water hosts Water Quality Symposium
From staff reports
Leelanau Clean Water will host an event titled “Leelanau Water Quality Symposium: Exploring the health of our lakes and streams. What 28 years of data show us and where emerging technology can take us” on Wednesday June 13. This event will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on the water rich campus of The Leelanau School, 1 Old Homestead Rd, just north of Glen Arbor.
Watch for signs directing you to the meeting place—most likely it will be in the student dining hall. Twenty dollars per person collected at the door covers use of the space and a delicious lunch prepared with many local sourced ingredients.
This event will serve to bring together various stakeholders all doing work to protect Leelanau water quality in an effort to share information, inspire ideas and better collaborate. This event is open to citizens of the general public with a concern or interest in water quality and water protection in Leelanau County.
