Halloween in Glen Arbor

Upcoming Event

From staff reports

This Sunday, Oct. 30 from 1-4 p.m., Glen Arbor merchants will open their doors to kids of all ages for Halloween trick-or-treating. This annual event packs the sidewalks of Glen Arbor with costumed kids (and adults), and brings families into town from across Northern Michigan. Many store owners go ALL OUT with decorations and costumes of their own, and some will even have treats for the adults; the M-22 Store will have spiced wine samples (for those 21+), and Anderson’s IGA will offer donuts, coffee and hot mulled cider.

Or, if delicious dark chocolate is your thing, head over to Grocer’s Daughter Chocolate in Empire for the company’s birthday party from 2-5 p.m. Grocer’s Daughter is celebrating seven years of great chocolate. Come and join the party. The staff will serve savory pear-basil-chocolate pizza, olive oil brownies, tahini chocolate cookies with tea and hot chocolate, and offer 7 percent off in-store purchases, with live music and a bonfire if weather permits.

On Halloween night, which is Monday, from 6-8 p.m., Empire will hold its Halloween Party at Empire Town Hall. There will be Halloween-themed games, treats and snacks for all who attend.

This GlenArbor.com story was sponsored by Cedar Rustic Inn and Longview Winery in Cedar, which blends an artist’s vision, a chef’s craft, and an entrepreneur’s spirit.
