Glen Lake Library hosts author Jane Elder, Wilderness, Water & Rust

From staff reports

Author and environmentalist Jane Elder will discuss her newly published book, Wilderness, Water & Rust, at the Glen Lake Community Library in Empire on Thursday, May 30, at 7 pm. The book weaves together memories from her life in the upper Midwest with nearly 50 years of environmental policy work, presenting a unique insider’s perspective into the quest to protect the Great Lakes.

Wilderness, Water & Rust also charts a more sustainable path moving forward, offering a bold alternative to the “boom and bust” cycle of resource extraction that have led to both environmental and economic challenges. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. Elder’s talk is presented in partnership with the Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes.
