Glen Lake Chamber launches SHOPtober

For the second year in a row, the Glen Lake Chamber of Commerce encourages locals and visitors, alike, to “shop small and eat local” during SHOPtober.
The campaign runs through the entire month of October, where participants may send in their proof of local purchases for a chance to win $100 in “Glen Arbor Bucks.” Two winners will be drawn on November 10 and announced via social media, on the Chamber’s website, VisitGlenArbor.com, and through the email newsletter.
How it works: For every cumulative $350 you spend on either retail or restaurant purchases in the Glen Arbor area during the month of October, you may enter your proof of purchases to be in the drawing. The Chamber has provided event envelopes for participants to collect their receipts, available to pick up at local merchants. Envelopes should be turned in by November 5 — either in person at the M22 Store in Glen Arbor, or by mail to the Glen Lake Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 217, Glen Arbor, MI 49636
Winners will be announced November 10. Receipts must be dated October 1-31, totaling $350 or more, in the event envelope. Maximum of 3 entries per person.
