The search is on. The Glen Arbor Arts Center’s (GAAC) board of directors is now formally looking for a new executive director.

Peg McCarty was hired as the GAAC’s first director in 2003. For the last 15 years, McCarty has been at the center of the GAAC’s evolution from a mostly-summer months enrichment center to a year-round contributor to the local, creative character. “The organization has now reached a new point in its development,” McCarty said recently. “A new and more fitting name, new logo and branding, gorgeous and functional new building, skilled and devoted staff, and another amazing board of directors. The organization is in good hands and it seems like a logical time for me to step aside.”

McCarty will remain as the GAAC’s director until December.

The organization is looking for a creative thinker with strong leadership skills who can help shepherd the GAAC into the future. Sound like someone you know? We’re interested to know more. Details about this new position can be found on the GAAC website, GlenArborArt.org.
