Glen Arbor Art Association’s Talk About Art features Julie Kradel
From staff reports
The Glen Arbor Art Association (GAAA) “Talk About Art” series continues in conversation with sculptor Julie Kradel, March 26, 7:30 p.m. at the GAAA, 6031 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor.
Kradel, a clay sculptor, is a latecomer to the world of studio art but has made up for it in record time. In 2010, at the age of 52, she began a career selling on the art fair circuit. Her work — joyful interpretations of the animals who live at the Cedar farmstead she calls home — has garnered dozens of awards. Kradel will talk about her work and the rigors of doing business inside a 10-foot-square art fair tent.
“Talk About Art” is a series of conversational interviews with regional artmakers. It focuses on creative practice, process and making as experienced by visual and performing artists. For more information, visit the Glen Arbor Art Association website or call 231/334-6112.
