Anne-Marie Oomen who taught creative writing at the Interlochen Arts Academy, will sign her new book, Love, Sex, and 4-H (Wayne State University Press $18.99), a memoir about growing up in rural Michigan.
Lynne Rae Perkins, author of award-winning books for children, will sign her delightful new book, Nuts to You (Greenwillow $16.99). It’s a story about a young squirrel who tires to find his way home after being carried off by a hawk. (Ages 8 and up)
Photographer extraordinaire Ken Scott will sign copies of Ice Caves of Leelanau (Leelanau Press, $25)
Aaron Stander, well known for his Northern Michigan mysteries joins us to sign his newest, Murder in the Merlot (Writers and Editors $15.95). It’s a mystery in which Sheriff Ray Elkins quickly discovers, the roots of this crime run from the legendary chateaus of Burgundy to the exclusive watering holes of Chinese billionaires.
The bookshop will also have a balloon sale. Each of the 30 balloons has a discount coupon or gift inside.
In addition, canvas commemorative bags will be given out with a purchase over $50 during the party.
And cake will be available too.
