Glen Arbor Art Association holds auditions for Readers’ Theater

Upcoming Event

From staff reports

The Glen Arbor Art Association (GAAA) Readers’ Theater will hold auditions for two plays by British playwright J.M. Barrie on Wednesday, April 26, at 7 p.m. at the Glen Lake Community Reformed Church, 4902 W. MacFarlane Road, Glen Arbor.

Barrie’s plays, The Old Lady Shows Her Medals and The Twelve-Pound Look, are both set in London in the lead up to World War 1, and during World War 1. Characters speak with a variety of British/Cockney and Scottish accents, and there are parts for both men and women. Performances of the plays will be June 2-3 at the church. Copies of the scripts will be available beginning April 17, at the GAAA’s offices, 6654 Western Avenue. To receive a digital version of the script, contact the GAAA at 231-334-6112 during office hours Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
