Cookies and Cocoa on the Heritage Trail

Upcoming Event

GroomingHeritageTrailFrom staff reports

Trail enthusiasts are invited to a Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail Open House on Saturday, March 2 from 10 a.m.-noon along the trail in Glen Haven. Please stop by while you are out skiing or snowshoeing to enjoy complimentary homemade cookies and sample hot chocolate from Grocer’s Daughter Chocolate.

The Friends of Sleeping Bear has been grooming the trail for both classic and skate skiing from the Dune Climb to Glen Arbor. This volunteer effort allows the trail to be enjoyed year-round for outdoor recreation.

Fundraising for the Heritage Trail continues for the connection from Glen Arbor to Port Oneida. Donations may be made online at www.sleepingbeartrail.org or by contacting Pam Darling, Development Director of TART Trails, at (231) 941-4300.
