Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel will lead a conversation on clean water at Cherry Republic’s Glen Arbor campus on Wednesday, Aug. 17, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Michigan League of Conservation Voters.

State Representative Curt VanderWall (Republican) who represents Michigan’s 101st district says the bills being rushed through the legislature during this month’s lame duck session are “unfortunately part of politics”.

Michigan League of Conservation Voters (MLCV) executive director Lisa Wozniak and Cherry Republic president Bob Sutherland will discuss the current state of Michigan’s waterways, including the Enbridge Line 5 oil pipeline, in a non-partisan fundraiser at the Cherry Public House in Glen Arbor on Thursday, Aug. 16, from 5-6:30 p.m.

July 15-19 is Water Week at the Glen Arbor Arts Center (GAAC). As part of its exhibition “New Views: Water = Life = Art,” the GAAC offers three events that examine water from different perspectives.
