After 13 seasons in her own location (previously Fishtown and then Main Street Leland), Maggie Mielczarek of Leland Gal is making a transition to move inside The Leland Harbor House. As the owners of the Leland Harbor House business, Maggie and her husband Greg Mielczarek had been pondering this idea since they first acquired the business in 2023, and the timing now makes sense. The Leland Harbor House is a 100-year-old storied building that has been a mainstay of Leland for decades, and will continue to offer apparel from top name brands as well as their own branded lifestyle apparel.

Leland Harbor House is proud to announce its first annual coat drive, in collaboration with the esteemed nonprofit organization 5 Loaves to Fish. With winter fast approaching, this initiative aims to collect gently used, good condition coats to provide warmth and comfort to those in need within our community. Under the motto, “Give a coat, get our thanks,” Leland Harbor House invites community members to join in this endeavor by donating their gently used coats. All collected coats will be distributed through the 5 Loaves to Fish network to individuals and families in need.

Greg Mielczarek and his wife, Maggie, a Leland native, acquired the Harbor House Trading Co. from Richard Roberts on Feb. 1. The Mielczareks will officially re-open the iconic spot in the heart of the village on Feb. 24-26 for the Harbor House’s annual storewide sale, during which apparel, paddleboards and other products will be sold at discounts of 50–70%. Roberts will remain the owner of the building.
