Residents and visitors to the county have not one, not two, but three chances to catch one of the region’s favorite bands this coming week. The little big band Tundra Tones, f.k.a. Jazz North, will be performing Aug. 28 at Leland, Aug. 29 at Music in the Park in Northport, and Aug. 31 at Little Traverse Inn.
Jazz North is a “little” big band. And on Sunday, July 21, Jazz North occupies Lake Street Studio Stage in the next Manitou Music concert. The concert begins at 8 pm.
After the disappointment of cancelling due to weather last year, the Glen Arbor Art Center’s Manitou Music Festival Dune Climb Concert is back on Sunday, July 8 at 7 p.m. at the popular Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore Dune Climb.

The next Empire Area Community Emergency Fund Concert will be held on Sunday, Sept. 29 from 4-6 p.m. at the Empire Town Hall and will feature the dynamic sound of Jazz North with special guest vocalist Robin Lee Berry.
