In celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the League of Women Voters Michigan in April 2019 and passage of the 19th Amendment in 2020, the Leelanau League will feature Elaine Weiss, author of The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote as the keynote speaker on May 22.
On Wednesday, March 7, at noon at the Leelanau County Government Center lower level community room the League of Women Voters Leelanau County will hold a forum on the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA).
On Thursday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. the documentary film Equal Means Equal will be shown at the Milliken Auditorium at Northwestern Michigan College. The film describes why now is the time for a constitutional Equal Rights Amendment (ERA).
