Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear offers summer horse and wagon tours

Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear, a partner organization of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, offers opportunities to learn about and help preserve the historic properties of Sleeping Bear Dunes area this summer.

Horse and wagon tours through the Port Oneida Rural Historic District are offered on Thursdays at 4:30 p.m., at the Olsen Farm. Reservations are required by calling 231-334-6103. Rates are $18 per adult, $11 per child ages 4-12, and free for children 3 and under on laps. A minimum of eight reservations is needed to conduct a tour.

Preserve also holds several volunteer historic preservation projects at the Olsen farm in Port Oneida. Volunteers will work on a barn project and two landscape projects. Please call 231-334-6103 for more information, or visit Phsb.org.
