Northern Latitudes Distillery to open in Suttons Bay

From staff reports
Northern Latitudes, the popular distillery in Lake Leelanau, will soon open a second location in downtown Suttons Bay, in the space previously occupied by Bayside Coffee & Tea—possibly at the end of July.
Amidst training 10 new employees and running the Lake Leelanau distillery, co-owner Mandy Moseler shared with the Sun why she’s excited to open in Suttons Bay.
“We want to be in Suttons Bay because it’s a destination for so many people and many of them do not make their way to Lake Leelanau. It’s a great walkable town that always has people. The businesses do a nice job and the setting is beautiful so people want to visit and be a part of Suttons Bay. We’re looking forward to being a part of the fun too!
“Former owners Randy and Tak bought the best espresso maker and tea infuser. They used Higher Grounds coffee and we love their coffee so will continue this connection. We’re looking forward to creating clever and delicious cocktails combining the coffee and our spirits. Can you say Mackinac Island Fudge Chocolate Liqueur Latte?
“We will have spirit tastings, bottle sales, fabulous cocktails and a fun assortment of related merchandise.
“We have gathered a great group of people who are looking forward to introducing Suttons Bay to Northern Latitudes Distillery. Mark and I realize that we have a company only because of the support of our customers. We look forward to expanding our customer base in Suttons Bay.”
