From staff reports

Join rangers this month for the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore’s first ever InstaMeet! What is an InstaMeet? It’s a fun event where Instagram users (IGers) meet up, take photos, and get to know each other! However, you do not have to be an Instagram user to join in the fun!Anyone is welcome to participate in these ranger-led hikes.Participants are encouraged to bring a camera or a phone to capture images during the hike.

The next InstaMeet will take place on Saturday, March 26 at 1 p.m. Meet the ranger at Esch Road Beach for a hike along Lake Michigan and Otter Creek and an optional, longer hike to the Marl Springs. Participants are encouraged to share their photos on social media using #EschIM. Plan to be outside for about 1.5-2 hours, dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for hiking. Once again, if you can’t make it for the program, head over to Instagram and follow us at @SleepingBearNPS. Search for the hashtag #EschIM to see the photos we take on our hike.

There is no cost for these programs; however, you must have a park entrance pass or an annual pass displayed in your vehicle. Park passes can be purchased at the Philip A.
