Ihme tops local realtors, acquires Glen Arbor Realty

LVR Realty owner Ranae Ihme enjoyed a banner 2016. She was the highest grossing agent in Glen Arbor (within the Traverse Area Association of Realtors (TAAR) MLS system) and was the third highest grossing agent in Leelanau County last year.
Ihme attributes LVR Realty’s success to the wraparound effect that Leelanau Vacation Rentals, LVR Realty and Glen Arbor Outdoor (owned by her husband Bob) enjoy within their businesses.
“Being able to provide rentals, real estate, maintenance, and remodeling/construction services all at one location helps us out tremendously,” Ihme said. “We really try to focus on intertwining these services as efficiently as possible for our customers. We carry 24-hour emergency lines, and are always at the ready when something important comes about with a customer.”
Ranae and Bob Ihme now own the rights to Glen Arbor Realty, which was previously owned by the late Steve Netherton. However, they’ll continue to identify with LVR Realty for the foreseeable future. Though they will soon acquire the Internet domain name of Glen Arbor Realty, the Ihmes have found that locals, owners and renters identify with the LVR name.
Belated clarification
The Sun published a story in our mid-January 2017 edition about LVR Realty owner Ranae Ihme being the highest grossing real estate agent in Glen Arbor in 2016 — according to the Traverse Area Association of Realtors (TAAR). Congrats to Ranae! To clarify, however, Serbin Real Estate was the top independent real estate office for not only the area but the entire MLS northern Michigan region.
