Glen Lake Community Library holds annual used book sale

The Friends of the Glen Lake Community Library will hold their annual book sale August 9-11 at the Glen Arbor Township Hall. You will find gently used and new books, games, puzzles, and recordings at this fundraiser for our wonderful library.
Wednesday, Aug. 9, 7-9 p.m.: Preview Party and Silent Auction, $5 Donation
Beat the crowd for the first chance to peruse and choose from thousands of books and other items. The silent auction will include an authentic M22 road sign, a stunning necklace from Becky Thatcher Designs, a gift bag featuring a gift certificate from the Glen Lake Salon, and many other unique items. Refreshments include homemade hors d’oeuvres and delicious desserts.
Thursday, Aug. 10, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
All are welcome to select from various items at very reasonable prices. You will find more than 50 subjects, including children’s books, neatly categorized for easier viewing.
Friday, Aug. 11, 9 a.m.-Noon: Bag Day, Free Admission
The best bargains are found on this last half-day. Fill a grocery bag full of books and pay only $5!
You will also find a great selection of sale books everyday at the library, just inside the entrance. The volunteers add new selections frequently, spanning all genres and in excellent condition. These sales directly benefit the library so check them out.
