Glen Arbor Players hold “Anatomy of a Murder” auditions

The Glen Arbor players have scheduled two rounds of auditions for their new play, Anatomy of a Murder, as follows:

Mon, August 29, Glen Lake Church, 7 pm

Tues, August 30, Old Town Playhouse, Schmuckal Room, 7 pm

The play is an adaptation from a movie about a murder case that occurred in 1952 in a small town in the Michigan Upper peninsula. A movie was made in 1959 starring James Stewart, Lee Remick, Ben Gazzara, Eve Arden and George C. Scott. It was called as “probably the finest pure trial movie ever made.” Also, the film was registered in the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant.”

The play will require a very large cast consisting of 8 men and 5 women and it will be staged on September 27-29. For more information or a digital script call (231) 409-4421.
