Glen Arbor holds trick or treating Sunday, Oct. 26

Upcoming Event

From staff reports

The Sunday before Halloween, come out and enjoy family-friendly, daytime trick-or-treating in Glen Arbor on Sunday, Oct. 26, from 12–3 pm (or until the treats run out).

Be festive, dress in costume and invite your friends, family and neighbors to trick-or-treat at participating businesses. This is open to the public and free to attend. The Glen Lake Chamber of Commerce encourages you to “shop small and eat local,” too. SHOPtober runs the month of October.

Shop Small, Eat Local, Win Big. Spend $350 at participating businesses in the Glen Arbor area during the month of October and get entered to win $100 in Glen Arbor Bucks. Submit receipts in an envelope by Nov. 5.

Other towns in Leelanau County will also hold Halloween events this weekend.

The Old Art Building in Leland hosts a “Candy Le-land” on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 1-3 p.m. The event will include cider, donuts, crafts, games, face painting and trick-or-treating. Costumes are encouraged. Also on Saturday, the Leland Chamber of Commerce hosts its “Fall Frenzy” with participating businesses open to trick-or-treaters.

Serenity Ranch, at 2250 N. Mork Road, near Suttons Bay, hosts “Halloween at the Ranch”  Saturday from 2-4 p.m.

Suttons Bay and Empire will both host events on Halloween, itself, Friday, Oct. 31—from 4-8 pm in Suttons Bay and 5-6:30 pm in Empire.
