Glen Arbor Arts Center offers Summer Youth Art Camps

From staff reports

The Glen Arbor Arts Center (GAAC) is offering summer art classes for children, ages 6-12. Click here to learn more and to enroll.

GAAC’s art camps bring together two unique visual arts opportunities for children 6-12 years old. Art Rangers classes are aimed at young artists who want to explore a variety of  mediums in a supportive, engaging environment. Art Rangers have the opportunity to paint, draw, sculpt, and print. Clay Cubs classes will immerse children in various clay hand-building techniques while creating in a real ceramic studio. All projects are kiln-fired, painted, and ready to take home at the end of the week. Children may join for one session or all summer. Each week will provide new opportunities.

Art Rangers sessions will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:30 am-noon at the Arts Center, located at 6031 S. Lake St in Glen Arbor. Clay Cubs sessions will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 10 am-12:30 pm at Thoreson Farm, located at 3694 S. Thoreson Rd, Maple City.

Fees are $110 GAAC members (early bird rate is $95) and $125 nonmembers (early bird rate is $105). Click here to read more about GAAC classes and to sign up.
