Glen Arbor Arts Center offers handmade gift classes

From staff reports

The Glen Arbor Arts Center is offering two classes that bring a creative hand to the holidays.

Art educator Amy Stevens’s “Hand Built Holiday Ornaments” lets students create heirlooms tree decorations using vintage book pages, old sheet music, and other found papers. This three-hour workshop is Saturday, Nov. 16. Artist-illustrator Maia Hausler helps student paint “Handmade Cards for All Occasions,” inspired by nature and Michigan botanicals on Sunday, Nov. 17, from noon-4 pm. Both classes are suitable for beginners as well as more advanced skill levels.
