Glen Arbor Arts Center nurtures “Little Artists”

Upcoming Event

From staff reports

The Glen Arbor Arts Center’s “Little Artists” get up close and personal with insects in May, to learn where they live and how they live. The May “Little Artists” series begins Friday, May 18, 9:30 a.m. at the GAAC, 6031 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor. Each session of this three-class series for pre-school children and an adult includes interactive projects geared to nurture young children’s natural creativity. April “Little Artists” classes are May 18, 25 and June 1. Each class is 90 minutes, and begins with a theme-setting story told by instructor Michele Aucello, an educator with 26 years’ experience in elementary education. Parents and children then work together on hands-on projects.

Cost for the “Little Artists” three class series is $40 for GAAC members and $45 for nonmembers, for an adult and one child; $20 for each additional participating child. Non-participating infants less than 1 year are welcome at no charge. Pre-registration is required. Register on-line at GlenArborArt.org. For more information call the GAAC at 231-334-6112.
