Glen Arbor Arts Center builds Gratitude: 100 Expressions of Thanks

From staff reports

The Glen Arbor Arts Center is building a wall—the wall of Gratitude: 100 Expressions of Thanks.

Gratitude: 100 Expressions of Thanks is a holiday fundraising event for GAAC programs. The wall will be composed of 100, 6 x 6-inch canvases that express the maker’s personal sense of gratitude in any media, including drawing, painting, collage, assemblage, mixed media, photography.

Canvases are $30, and available at the GAAC, 6031 S. Lake St., Glen Arbor. The deadline for returning finished canvases to the GAAC is Nov. 5. The Gratitude Wall will be unveiled on Friday, November 15, at the opening of the GAAC’s Small Works exhibition.

The Gratitude Wall will continue to spread the message of thanks and creativity after the Small Works show concludes on December 18. In 2020, the Gratitude Wall will travel to several area businesses, and will be showcased in a select group of public places.
