The Front Porch, a locally owned kitchen, gift & gourmet shop in downtown Suttons Bay is proud to host a special community giveback event in support of the Leelanau Laundry Project, a grassroots initiative providing free access to clean laundry for local families in need.

From Thursday, Jan. 22, through Sunday, Jan. 25, customers who bring in laundry supplies of any kind—detergent, bleach, stain remover, laundry pods, and more—or make a monetary donation to the Leelanau Laundry Project will receive 20% OFF their entire purchase at The Front Porch that day.

“This project has been close to our hearts from the beginning,” said Amy Peterson, owner of The Front Porch. “Clean laundry should never be a luxury, and the Leelanau Laundry Project is making a real difference for families in our community. We’re honored to support them and to invite our customers to join us. Bobbie, the original founder of the store, started this project decades ago because she identified the need. We are happy and grateful to continue to support it”

The Leelanau Laundry Project removes the financial barriers by providing free laundry service to individuals and families who need them most. Donations collected during the event will help replenish supplies and help keep the program running.

“The Front Porch has always believed in community first,” said Peterson. “Your visit and your donations matter—together we can make Suttons Bay brighter and warmer this winter.’

The Front Porch is located in downtown Suttons Bay and is known the up north kitchen store, includes curated gifts, gourmet foods, kitchenware and unique seasonal entertaining finds. The store offers free gift wrapping, daily Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar tastings and a loyalty rewards program.
