Front Porch hosts fourth annual Leelanau Suds-Raiser

From staff reports

The Front Porch, a beloved retail lifestyle store in Suttons Bay specializing in kitchen, home, gift, and gourmet products, is thrilled to announce its fourth annual Leelanau Suds-Raiser, a special event that blends community spirit with a great cause. This tradition was created as a tribute to the original owner of The Front Porch, Bobbi Eggert, whose passion for helping others inspired the founding of the Leelanau Laundry Project.

The fourth annual Leelanau Suds-Raiser will be held Jan. 23-26 at 207 St. Joseph Street in Suttons Bay.

The Leelanau Laundry Project is a vital initiative that supports residents of Leelanau County who lack the resources to do their own laundry. Through this project, countless individuals and families have received the help they need to maintain dignity and comfort in their daily lives.

During the event, The Front Porch will accept donations of laundry supplies or monetary contributions to benefit the Leelanau Laundry Project. In exchange for their generosity, donors will receive a 20 percent discount on their purchases at the store, making it the perfect time to shop while giving back to the community.

“The Leelanau Suds-Raiser holds a special place in our hearts as it honors the legacy of our store’s original owner and her dedication to making a difference,” said Amy Peterson. “We’re proud to continue this tradition and invite our customers to join us in supporting such a meaningful cause.”

Suggested laundry supply donations include: laundry detergent (liquid or powder); fabric softeners or dryer sheets; stain removers; laundry baskets or hampers, and bleach. Monetary donations of any amount are also gratefully accepted and will go directly to the Leelanau Laundry Project to fund their ongoing efforts. Checks can be made payable to United Way of Northwest Michigan (Memo: LCFCC Laundry Project).

Stop by The Front Porch during the Leelanau Suds-Raiser to make a difference in the lives of your neighbors while enjoying 20 percent off your favorite kitchen, home, gift, and gourmet products. Together, we can continue the legacy of compassion and care that defines our community.
