Friends of Glen Lake Library hold Used Book Sale

The Friends of the Glen Lake Community Library will hold their annual Used Book Sale August 5-7 at the Glen Arbor Township Hall. This 3-day fundraising event offers gently used and some new books, games and puzzles, as well as recordings. It is scheduled as follows:

Preview Party, Wednesday, Aug. 5, 7-9 p.m. $5 Donation

This special event gives you the first chance to peruse and choose from thousands of hardcover and paperback books, CDs, DVDs, and games and puzzles. Refreshments include homemade hors d’oeuvres and sweets.

Book Sale, Thursday, Aug. 6, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Free Admission

On Thursday, the sale is open to the public free of charge. Everyone can select from various items at very reasonable prices. Everything is neatly categorized in more than 50 subject areas, including many children’s books.

Bag Day, Friday, Aug. 7, 9 a.m.-noon. Free Admission

This last half day offers the best bargains. Fill a standard grocery bag full of books and pay just $5.
If you are unable to attend the event, the Friends would like to remind area residents and visitors to check out the Library vestibule for reasonably-priced book selections featuring gently used classics, recent titles and books of special interest. These hardcover and paperback selection are frequently freshened so you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the range and quality of the books. Remember, your purchase will directly benefit the Library.
