Food extraordinaire Nancy Allen publishes “Discovering Global Cuisines”

Join Leelanau County food extraordinaire Nancy Allen, Fred Laughlin, culinary chefs and students, for an around-the-world tasting preview of Allen’s newly released culinary textbook, Discovering Global Cuisines on Friday, May 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Lobdell’s — on the second floor of the Northwestern Michigan College Great Lakes Campus, 715 East Front Street in Traverse City. Cash bar will include beer and wine. A $20 per-person donation is requested to benefit the Great Lakes Culinary Institute culinary program. For advance tickets call (231) 995-3120 before May 1 or (231) 995-1376 after May 1.
